Aiming to produce students who are able to command the basic skills of English, our department pursues the systematic study thereof. The ultimate aim of the Department is to provide a systematic and practical English education to our students, enabling them to experts able to manage practical business and to lead the competitive 21st century with their international sense and communicative ability.

  Department of Creative Writing
  We aim to recreate a renaissance in literature and to open new horizons in literature for 21st century. Students will study writing theories of modern literature, and the general styling theories in literature, applying them to actual writing. We will produce writing professionals in wide genres of literature such as poetry, fiction, drama, scenario essays and criticism.
   
  Department of Elderly Welfare
  The chief objective of the department is to train skilled, innovative and effective human service professionals who can address social, economic, and political conditions that affect the social functioning of individuals, whether as a member of a family or as a part of a larger community. In so doing, the department lays particular emphasis on lifelong education for older people, counseling for the elderly and their family, and care work for the elderly, which are essential aspects of successful service in an increasingly aging society. The department trains students to develop analytical skills in identifying critical problems in society and also to forecast, as well as prepare for, upcoming social problems.
   
  Department of International Relations
  In an era of internationalization, the Department of International Relations is to train experts on regional affairs, prepared to duly develop their activities in the international society. For this purpose, the Department is fully engaged in the training of regional specialists on the United States, China and Japan with which Korea is to maintain and develop various relations. As regional experts, they analyze and research the political, economic, social and cultural fields of the corresponding region, equipped with English and their respective area's language: Chinese, Japanese and capable of dealing with economics and trade along with international organizations.
   
  Department of International Trade and Business
  The Korean business community and government agencies are now facing major pressure due to environmental change. The most important factor driving the change is the globalization of economic and business activities. The educational goal of the Department of international Trade and Business is to generate individual experts with professional knowledge of international economic and management. Students will also learn the practical side of the international business process.
   
  Department of Mass Communication and Journalism
  The Department of Mass Communication and Journalism focuses its educational purposes on both theoretical and practical study of mass media and mass communication, such as newspaper, broadcasting, public relations, and publishing, which activate communication in society. Students are to become experts in mass media with theoretical knowledge and practical techniques which enable them to deal with radical changes in the media environment, including the multi-channel and multi-media of today's information society.
   
  Department of Adolescent Studies
  As adolescence is a time where there is an extensive development of cognition, moral awareness and socialization skills, there has been great emphasis on this age because of the change experienced. The Department of adolescent studies provides students with an opportunity to study adolescent education, psychology, counseling, and social welfare which enables them to perform adolescent training at youth training centers. Students can experience a high level of achievement and challenge through this type of work. The graduating students may look forward to employment in adolescent training and counseling centers in social work, with other types of government offices relating to youth.
   
  Department of Public Administration
  The Department of Pubic Administration studies the fundamental principles and techniques of administration and develop highly cultivated individuals to serve the public in actual administration. The Department focuses on systematic and scientific theories of administration to educate students to become officials in public fields.
