Achievements Mongolian Civil Aviation Authorities designates Hanseo University, as an Aviation Training Institute. Hanseo University announced on July 6, 2017 that it has been approved as designated Aviation Training Institute the Mongolian Civil Aviation Authority. From July 2016, efforts were made for about a year from the initial application to the final selection through various courses such as preparation, translation, revision of documents related to the application for accreditation, document review and due diligence. The due diligence was conducted by TSOGTSAIKHAN DAMDINSUREN, the head of the due diligence team of the Mongolian Civil Aviation Authorities, and AMARBOLD ALTANKHUYAG, the responsible officer, visited our university for the inspection. TSOGTSAIKHAN DAMDINSUREN said, 'In the course of due diligence on your facilities, Hanseo university's aviation facilities outperformed the general airport facilities,' and added, 'The preparation of documents for approval was perfect.' It also suggested the possibility that programs such as renewal of certificates, training education, and air safety management education of Mongolian air agency and Mongolian airline controllers and mechanics could also be carried out using our university infrastructure. As of 2017, the only institutions that have received approval from the Mongolian Civil Aviation Authorities were five from the U.S.A, one from Germany, one from Thailand, one from Latvia, one from the Netherlands, one from Azerbaijan, two from Mongolia, two from Korea (our university and Korean Air Cabin Crew Training center), and a total of 14 from Korea (see the website of the Mongolian Aviation Administration) and one of this university. The final accreditation of our university is for the four institutions and departments (Aviation- Flight Education Center, Air Transportation- Institute of Air Traffic Control, Aircraft Department- Institute of Aviation Technology, and Aviation Tourism & Service Department), which earned the first approval of a foreign government agency in Korea, and the first of its kind, four or more institutions and departments in the world to receive accreditation at the same time. What makes this application even more meaningful to our university is that our university has produced more than 200 talented students through active exchanges with Mongolia from 2007 to date, and about 170 Mongolian students are currently attending our university. More than 80 percent of Mongolian students are studying in the Department of Aviation because Mongolia is geographically an important place for aviation, and it is one of the countries with so much demand for aviation, so it is very interested in the aviation industry. In addition, the article 'Final Selection of Accreditation Application' predicts that Mongolia's new international airport will serve as a catalyst to amplify interest in our university's aeronautics department at a time when it is about to be completed in July 2018.
