Conservation Science for Cultural Heritage Research Center

The Center aims to conserve the cultural heritage by studying, researching and preserving our valuable cultural assets with traditional and scientific methods and educating students in this field. There are four major research fields - excavation; preservation, which repairs and restores cultural assets including metals, pottery, and stones; materials analysis, which analyzes artifacts, and researches materials and production methods; and education, which includes training local residents to be cultural asset treatment experts.
